Funny music enthusiast. Hardcore Al fan. Connoisseur of all things strange. But you can just call me Winter (Winter W. Willow, if you want to be formal). I'm an artist with duel interests in Weird Al and customizable websites + plenty of free time. I'm also the webmaster of POLKA YOUR EYES OUT!! (or just Polka Your Eyes Out), but you probably figured that out already.
I got into Weird Al back in early May of 2023 and he's been one of my favorite musicians ever since. He was also my gateway into funny music as a whole. Thanks, Al!
Speaking of music, I don't usually get this into an artist. There's some bands and musicians I keep coming back to (as listed on the FAQ) but there's something about Al specifically that makes me want to find anything and everything interesting about his career.
I LOVE OBSCURE WEIRD AL SONGS!! Some of my favorites are "The Check's in the Mail", "Livin' in the Fridge", "I Think I'm a Clone Now", "I'll Be Mellow When I'm Dead", "Gee, I'm a Nerd", "Spameater", "House of the Sesame Seed Bun", "Miniature Golf", "Laundry Day", and "Patterns".
Lame claims to fame: being a connoisseur of Yankoblr holidays, (kinda) finding a new swear for the Weird Al Swear List, accidentally fooling people into thinking Me, Myself, and I was something I entirely made up (long story), getting my science teacher to play Weird Al in class, inventing the phrase "handsome yankovariant", being officially 44nifty approved, resparking brief interest in the "Virus Alert" tie-in game, and running this website.
Along with Poodle Hat Running With Scissors, & Straight Outta Lynwood, I also have Thriller & Bad (Michael Jackson), Fush Yu Mang & Walkin' on the Sun Remixes (Smash Mouth), Slippery When Wet (Bon Jovi), Cosmic Thing (The B-52's), Zoot Suit Riot (Cherry Poppin' Daddies), self titled (Ricky Martin), selt titled (Backstreet Boys), Dirty Jokes (Gilbert Gottfried), They're All Gonna Laugh at You! & What The Hell Happened to Me? (Adam Sandler), and 341 MB of Comedy (Don McMillan), all on CD. Impressive, isn't it?
A (short) list of other things I'm into are computer viruses, playing/making/reading about TTRPGs and other board games, zine making, art in general, lost media, mythology, astrology (for FUN!!), religion & occult stuff in general, and reading through old and/or archived websites (along with other parts of the old web).
I also transcribed the lyrics for an obscure collaborated song (involving Weird Al, naturally) called "Miniature Golf", even though it gave me a headache. Worth it.
